Some of our work

These are just a few examples of some old and new sites. We can build your original site just about any way you would like. If you see an effect you like, write down where you saw it and we'll do our best to make it work on your original W3C compliant site, with full interoperability across browsers and PC or Mac platforms.

A fancy Java and Ajax site from a template: www.accountsbalanced.com

Accounts Balanced dot com screen shotFor this business services homepage, there was a minimal amount of information that works well with the accordian-style navigation. Click the black bars to see more.

An informational site with an events calendar: www.chicowomensclub.net

Chico Women's Club calendar of EventsThe Chico Women's Club (CA) wanted a Web presence with a detailed events calendar. This is an image rich site, with custom graphics done by Las Tejedoras. The calendar includes CSS rollovers that give more detail about each event.

An advertising site for a specialty Porsche shop: Performanceoriented.com

Performance Oriented web sitePaul designed his own logo and site layout along with his own custom artwork which we modified for the Web in this simple, yet elegant, design.

Our 2008 grant site with custom graphics: www.concowphoenix.org

Concow Phoenix Project siteEach year, Las Tejedoras gives away a free site design to a non-profit community organization. This image-rich site for the Concow Phoenix Project to rebuild the fire-ravaged community of Concow, California was our winner this year.

Our 2007 winner was the Shalom Free Clinic in Chico, California. We kept their original design, but brought the site up to W3C interoperability and accessibility standards.

Earth Haven & Equality Press, with Spry & Ajax menus: http://gaylekimball.info

Earth Haven & Equality Press siteWe used Gayle's commissioned artwork as a background image, added drop-down menus, and found free hosting for this large, graphics-rich site.

A bilingual site begun for a nonprofit community organization: LAC

Bilingual site designA truly bilingual site without all of the flags and clutter. Simply click on the word "Home" for the English version and the word "Inicio" for the Spanish. Only the middle of the page changes. Note: please do not copy, borrow, or use this original copyrighted design without written permission from Las Tejedoras Web Design!

A site Morgan built for her MLIS degree: Maya web

Maya WebThis was just for fun! We wanted to find a way to have a stable background image without using Javascript. The Mayan glyph image remains stable while the text scrolls down the page. It takes a minute to load, because of the number of images necessary.

It works best in any Mac Browser, Firefox / Mozilla, or Internet Explorer 7 (Microsoft finally caught up!) It's still pretty in any older browser and completely functional, you just won't get the full effect.
